She has experience in the full spectrum of business environments—profit and not-for-profit, international, public, private, and entrepreneurial. Highly respected as a visionary business builder, collaborative leader, dynamic speaker and creative solutions provider, Kathleen has a consistent record of delivering double-digit revenue and profit growth increases.

A student of lifetime learning, Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Marketing and Computer Science from Western Illinois University with subsequent professional development in Strategic Coach®, the Executive Leadership Development Programs of Abbott Laboratories and Cardinal Health and the Leadership Coachella Valley program.
Specializing in quickly determining an opportunity or challenge, identifying solutions and providing practical advice that can translate into measureable results, Kathleen thrives under the challenge of planning and managing demanding consulting projects and assignments. She has created the When Smart Business Matters™ suite of tools when working with clients in articulating their vision of growth and developing a systematic plan to meet goals and objectives. Kathleen is an alumna and member of the Advisory Council for the College of Business and Technology of Western Illinois University and was recognized as 2011 Distinguished Alumna. She is an accredited associate and Fellow of The Institute for Independent Business. She served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the La Quinta California Chamber of Commerce for over seven years where she wrote a monthly column for the GEM community and member publication. With a passion for giving back, Kathleen serves on the American Heart Association - Coachella Valley Division's Advisory Board.
Kathleen authored two online learning modules – Grass Roots Marketing and Managing & Compensating a Sales Team - for the Business Arts Certificate Program (BACP) for the recently accredited, Institute for Independent Business University (IIBU). She is a co-author of, Being in Business Is a Funny Thing – Getting Out is Not! focused on business growth and transition for business owners and entrepreneurs.

Recent Projects:
Large Non-Profit in Southern California – Launch of a complete rebranding (including name change, logo and creative development, marketing materials, website, social media, advertising campaign and public and media relations outreach. The marketing efforts transformed the image of this organization as being an old-time tired firm to a high touch, patient-centric organization that provided outstanding services to clients referred by the health care community.

Law Firm in Chicago, Illinois – We completely rebranded the firm in 2010 from new logo, design and website to marketing materials and process development. We continue to provide marketing support that includes print and digital promotion and advertising, development of client programs and processes, bringing a very traditional firm in to the world of digital marketing – with a contemporary, yet sophisticated approach.

Start-Up Technology Company in Seattle, Washington – Initially brought in for sales management expertise in a specific health care segment, the relationship expanded to providing website and digital copy, creating proposal copy for large-scale customer engagements and providing ongoing consultation on product/service evolution, as well as customer and competitive insight.

Kathleen is a native of Chicago and now has an office in the Coachella Valley in Southern California. Her passion is international travel – she has visited 6 continents - and the cultures that make our world rich.
